And although we are fortunate to have one more available lecture held by Marika Blossfeldt come Saturday on March 24th starting at 11:00am and lasting through 12:30–ish…. But what’s the really cool news about this post? And What did the Attendees Come Up With for Second Saturday? A ‘Marika Pot Luck Dinner’ of Sorts.
Our group who has come to know one another more closely during Marika’s incredibly amusing and informatively-filled lectures which have been so fun to be a part of – we as the group, decided that each one of us would go and create one of Marika’s recipes from her amazing cookbook (also available to purchase at the Beacon Art Emporium), and share it with anyone who might stop by on this Second Saturday at 6:30pm
(That’s March 10th – this Saturday) This is a free event! – Yes FREE FOOD – now it will be tastings – but some of the amazing food she has already made us has truly surprised us as not only be utterly delicious – but incredibly healthy too!
It impressed some of the us original non-believers in how real food, unlike processed food per se is so much better for our holistic health and bodies for a healthy and vigorous lifestyle.
PLUS….Yes There’s More! – Beacon Art Emporium is having a shop-wide 30% off this includes the entire Barefoot Book Line, that you might have seen at our Farmers Market, our neat handmade journals, pottery, plus 40% off many items and we even created a clearance table as we prepare for many new items coming in the next two weeks….
Remember many of our artisan-made items are not only functional, but beautifully made by local artists – and they are one-of-a-kind – perfect for yourself and for gifts. Get them while they last…. I will set aside something you love should you wish to come back next week to pick it up…

Now just so you know – that is not the only thing happening on this east end of Main St. this weekend. In fact I learned from Greg the owner of Tas Kafe that the Beacon Brewery will be stopping by and giving a presenation starting at 7pm while Vinyl Record Hour will start at 8:00pm at the Tas Kafe on Friday March 9th.
Plus I heard through the grapevine that there will be a vinyl music hour at Tas Kafe – I believe that starts at 7:30 or at 8:00pm- (please contact Tas Kafe through Facebook to confirm their times) and quite possible some lovely live acoustic music will be played at my own shop The Beacon Art Emporium starting at 6:30pm.
A Quick Note About Beacon’s Second Saturday’s:
They rock – Beacon comes extra alive during Second Saturday which happens every month regardless of the weather, the crows and people stroll up and down Main Street checking out the many galleries, restaurants, places where live music will be played, it really is something that shouldn’t be missed!
